No Serious Injuries In Crash That Flipped Waltham Police Cruiser
Though both drivers were taken to a hospital after the crash, they avoided any serious injuries.

WALTHAM, MA — Neither a Waltham police officer nor another local driver suffered serious injuries in a crash that closed a local road a flipped a police cruiser on its side, officials said.
On Wednesday, the officer in the cruiser and another driver were involved in a crash at the intersection of Totten Pond Road and Wyman Street.
A preliminary investigation found that the cruiser was heading west on Totten Pond Road while responding to a service call. The officer stopped at a red light before driving into the intersection with the car's emergency lights activated.

The other driver was heading south on Wyman Street and drove into the intersection while they had a green light. The car was traveling at about 25 miles per hour, the driver reported, with no traffic ahead.
"She observed the police cruiser entering the intersection at the last moment and attempted to brake but was unable to avoid a collision," police said.

The cruiser was hit on its rear passenger side, causing it to roll onto its side.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals as a precaution.
