WALTHAM, MA — Jeeps & Cones, an event designed to help a local business while creating a sense of community for Jeep owners, made a successful return to Pizzi Farm Market & Deli on Saturday, Oct. 15, collecting hundreds of donations for The Animal Rescue League of Boston, Dedham Branch.

According to event organizer Natasha Arseneau, about 70 jeeps attended the third Jeeps & Cones event. The goal was to fill one Jeep trunk with food to donate to local cats and dogs, but by the end of the event, organizers filled a second trunk and several back seats.

"People went above and beyond the call to donate items, including food, treats, blankets, outfits and other comforting supplies for the Animal Rescue League,” Arseneau said in an email. "I am extremely grateful for everybody that showed up to support this cause, especially those who took time to donate to the Animal Rescue League of Boston.”

McGovern Jeep in Newton was a huge staple of the event, showing up with $250 worth of food to donate, Arseneau said. Dozens of Jeeps arrived in style with Halloween decorations and dressed up pets, varying from Jurassic Park Themes, to mini Jeeps for their dogs.

Pizzi Farm was also serving their famous Apple Cider doughnuts and Caramel filled Core Cones rolled in Apple Cider doughnut crumbles, which had the line going out to the end of their parking lot.
