Update on State Seizure of Waltham Restaurant
The eatery had been seized by the state on Nov. 13.
A day after the Massachusetts Department of Revenue seized a Waltham restaurant for non-payment of taxes, the state has turned the eatery back over to its owner, according to a DOR spokesman.
The owner, Myriam Villarroel, has entered into a plan to repay the $86,768.15 in meals tax and withholding taxes, according to DOR spokesman Ann Dufresne.
