Waltham Asks Residents To Help Tackle Rodent Problem
Residents are asked to use tight-fitting lids on all trash containers and avoid putting trash out until 4 p.m. the day before pickup.
WALTHAM, MA — Waltham officials are asking residents to take steps to help tackle the increase in rodent activity in the city.
Residents are asked to use tight-fitting lids on all trash containers and avoid putting trash out until 4 p.m. the day before pickup. Trash left in bags at curbside will increase rodent activity, the city said.
Other things that will deter rodents include keeping food off the ground and avoiding the creation of water sources through drips or leaks from AC units and hoses.
