Waltham Best Greater Boston Community for Young Professionals

Real estate site Movoto ranked 11 Greater Boston communities based on percent of young professionals, cost of living and employment chances.

Waltham, MA – Twenty-somethings looking to avoid the high rents, expensive nightlife and pricy standard of living in Boston needn't look further than Waltham to settle.

According to real estate website Movoto, Waltham is the top-ranked community in the Greater Boston area for young professionals. 

Movoto analyzed the percent of residents age 22-29, the number of professional opportunities, cost of living and amenities per capita when ranking 11 cities and towns in the area.

According to Movoto, 16.3 percent of residents are 22-29 years old and Waltham's unemployment rate is 5.6 percent.

The site highlighted Moody Street's trendy restaurants and boutiques, the hiking opportunities at Prospect Hill Park, the Storer Conservation grounds and the wildlife at Beaver Brook North Reservations as especially attractive to young professionals.

It also cited Waltham's convenient location to Boston and MBTA accessibility as amenities.
