WALTHAM, MA — On Monday, three Waltham officials visited longtime Waltham business owner Frank Spinoza of Frank’s Spoke N’ Wheel to thank him for tuning up all twelve bicycles that were given away to local children at the recent “Meet Your Public Safety Professionals” community event.

Mayor Jeannette McCarthy, Police Chief Kevin O’Connell and Captain Jeff Rodley presented Spinoza a proclamation from the City of Waltham to recognize his efforts.

"Working under challenging time constraints, Frank prioritized the repairs and put the interest of the children of Waltham ahead of his own business interests,” the Waltham Police Department said in a Facebook post. "The end result was smiling faces and better than new bikes!"
