Waltham Elson Road Utility Project Moves Forward

Here's what to know for commuters and those trying to find parking in the area this week.

WALTHAM, MA — Construction is underway on a water and sewer improvement project in Natick, with more work to continue on Thursday and Friday.

City officials said trucks will be setup at various locations in the access pits previously dug to start water main lining on the Elson Road utility project site.

Crews will start clearing and grubbing gravel, shrubs and stumps along Elson Road, would could affect morning commutes.

On-street parking will be limited during construction, marked with "no parking signs" each morning. No-parking zones will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The roadway portion of the project will include roadway and sidewalk repaving on Elson Road and a portion of Irving Street. There will be new sidewalks along Elson Road on the north side.

The City has awarded this project to N. Granese & Sons of Salem, Massachusetts. Roadways are expected to be paved by the fall.
