Waltham To Host ‘Meet Your Public Safety Professionals’ Event Aug. 27

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Prospect Hill Park.

WALTHAM, MA — The City of Waltham and Boston Properties will host a “Meet Your Public Safety Professionals” event on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Prospect Hill Park.

Members from the Waltham Police Department, Waltham Fire Department, Emergency Telecommunications Dispatch Center and Armstrong Ambulance will be on hand to engage with the public, answer questions and provide access to public safety equipment, including police motorcycles, police bicycles, police cruisers, firetrucks and ambulances.

The WPD Drone unit will also be giving a demonstration and community members will have a chance to meet Waltham PD K-9 Officer Connarton and his four-legged partner, Hondo.

Additionally, children in attendance will be given the opportunity to enter a raffle to win free bicycles. Winners of the raffle and others will also be given free bicycle helmets sponsored bylaw firm Breakstone, White & Gluck.

The Prospect Hill Park has been recently renovated and includes a waterpark, carnival rides, green space, a playground, and more. Pizza and ice cream will be provided.
