A food drive for those living in Waltham Housing Authority units is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Here's what items can be donated.

WALTHAM, MA — The holiday season means multiple chances to give back to your local community. One of those chances comes this week.

A food and holiday drive for people living in Waltham Housing Authority units is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Items can be dropped off at 292 Grove St. between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.

  • Shelf stable items: Coffee and tea, shelf stable milks (small sizes only)

  • Jelly and jam
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Canned Soups
  • Tuna
  • Dish soap
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper towels
  • Baked Goods

  • Additional gift cards to anywhere of any amount, such as, Ocean State Job Lot, Walgreens, CVS
