WALTHAM, MA — A public hearing on a proposed marijuana retail shop hoping to open on Main Street by late summer or early fall has been pushed back that was previously scheduled for this week to March 22.

Damon Schmidt who owns Waltham Cannabis, Inc. was set to go before the Zoning Board of Appeals on Jan. 26, but because five members of that board were not present, their presentation was postponed.

Because they need to first have their special permit in hand before holding a public hearing with the city council, they asked to postpone their meeting from this month to next.
