Of all Waltham's annual events, "Open Studios" has always hovered in the top three.

It's where an old fashioned gated elevator pumps patrons of the arts up four floors to cozy hovels they poke in and out of armed with fresh cider and soft ripened cheese.

It's where thick creamy brush strokes bring fresh fruit to new life through oils. Where pastels and patience produce a pine needled magnificence hanging below a high ceiling.

The two day art invitation launches early November in The Watch City allowing an elegant walk through jewelry designers, movie makers print producers and portrait painters. From landscapes to close ups, the weekend's worth of chatting and choosing makes for a very cool connection with the Waltham Arts Community.
