Waltham Piety Corner Reconstruction Begins This Week
Starting Monday, alterations in current traffic patterns and "significant traffic delays" are expected at the intersection, officials said.

WALTHAM, MA — Roadway reconstruction in the city's continuing Piety Corner project picks up again this week.
Starting Monday, alterations in current traffic patterns and "significant traffic delays" are expected at the intersection of Lexington Street, Totten Pond Road and Bacon Street.
"Vehicles are encouraged to avoid the area if at all possible," Waltham officials said.

The traffic pattern alterations are expected to last one week and roadway reconstruction work is expected to be completed in two weeks, officials said.
Officials said that contractors will begin installing and replacing curbs and sidewalks throughout the intersection once this reconstruction is finished.
