Waltham Police Selling Patches For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Patches go on sale Saturday, Oct. 1 and will be available through Monday, Oct. 31, or while supplies last.

WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham Police Department is launching its annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer.

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the department will be selling the 2022 Pink Patch for $10 each, with all donations going towards the Dana Farber Cancer Institute breast cancer research.

Patches go on sale Saturday, Oct. 1 and will be available through Monday, Oct. 31, or while supplies last. They can be purchased in person at the Waltham Police Department on Fridays only from 3-6 p.m.

Patch donations can also be made through Waltham Superior Officer’s Venmo, @MassCOP161A. Patches can be mailed out if requested on Venmo. The Venmo username and mailing address should be sent to walthampdpatches@gmail.com.

If you don’t have Venmo, reach out to Sgt. Dan Hart and Officer Natalie Mardoyan at walthampdpatches@gmail.com and they will provide other options.

"Once you have your patch in hand, take a picture and post it on social media using the #PinkPatchProject and tag us as well to tell us your family member/friends story,” the department said.
