Waltham Police Warn Residents Of Facebook Scam

WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham Police Department is warning residents about spam comments on their Facebook page.

The comments tag users with a link to order a WPD sweatshirt. The department said it is not a legitimate site.

"If you see the below comment in a post or tagging someone in the post, please ignore or report as spam to Facebook,” the department wrote. "We will also be reporting the spam as we come across the post.”

The Woburn Police Department reported the same scam on their Facebook page.
