Waltham To Take On Needham In WGBH Quiz Show Quarterfinals
After defeating Brookline High School in the qualifying round, Waltham will now face Needham in a battle of the brains.
WALTHAM, MA — On the team's debut appearance on WGBH's High School Quiz Show, Waltham High School edged out Brookline in the first round of the quiz. Now Waltham moves on to the quarterfinal against Needham High School
You can watch and root on the team at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25 on WGBH 2. The episode will repeat at 10 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 26.
The winner will take on either Andover or Belmont May 9.

Back in March, when Waltham beat Brookline, Waltham rang in to answer the penultimate question, Anna answered correctly that "Pygmalion" was a play by George Bernard Shaw about a Cockney flower girl. The last question, how many chambers are in the heart of a fish, went to Brookline, but the team got it wrong. (There are two).
Waltham - a first-time competitor - took Brookline out by just 35 points.
