Waltham Vehicle Homicide Trial Delayed

The trial of a Waltham woman accused of motor vehicle homicide has been delayed, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. 

The trial of Blanca Contreras in the hit-and-run death of Scott Coxall in November 2011 was scheduled to start Thursday morning at Waltham District Court. 

However, a judge continued the case to a June 26 hearing, according to the DA's office. On June 26, a new trial date will be set. 

The DA's office said the judge delayed the trial after allowing a motion by the Contrera's attorney. The office referred further inquiries to the defense.
