Wedding Photographer Ordered to Pay After Allegedly Scamming Waltham Couple
Jesse Clark was ordered to pay more than $500,000.

A wedding photographer who allegedly scammed a Waltham couple has been ordered to pay more $500,000 in restitution and penalties.
Under a default judgment entered on Tuesday, Jesse Clark, of Charlton, was ordered to pay $136,000 in restitution and $370,000 in civil penalties and fees for not delivering promised wedding photos he took, according to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
Also, Clark is prohibited from conducting business as a wedding photographer or soliciting business for photography or video work. Clark did business as SureShot Videography, among other names.

“SureShot stole thousands of dollars from newlyweds during what should have been the happiest moment of their lives,” Attorney General Martha Coakley said in a statement. “We are pleased that this judgment orders restitution for the couples robbed of their priceless memories and permanently prevents the defendant from taking deposits from any consumer in Massachusetts again.
The AG’s office filed a lawsuit against Clark earlier this year after receiving more than 100 complaints that he did not deliver the photos he promised. A Waltham couple, Ryan and Lauren Baldner, were among the victims.
