Young Wayland HS Graduate from Waltham Dies

Megan Duffy, 2011 graduate of Wayland High School who lived in Waltham, died on Nov. 18. She was 21.
"With great sadness, I'm writing to report to you that Megan Duffy, a graduate of Wayland High School's Class of 2011, died [on Nov. 18]. I'm told that Megan was someone who could light up a room when she entered. She had a sharp mind, and was known to be caring, kind, creative, artistic, and wonderful with children. She faced life's challenges with grace and resilience," Wayland Public Schools Superintendent Paul Stein wrote in a community letter.
Duffy died unexpectedly, according to her death notice on the Brasco Funeral Home website.
Calling hours for Duffy will be held Nov. 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Her funeral will be held on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at the St. Charles Borremo Church in Waltham.
