2 Newbies To Board of Selectmen: Westborough Election Results
Two political newcomers beat the incumbent for Board of Selectmen seats in the 2018 Westborough town election.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—In an annual election with only two contested races, Shelby Marshall and Syed Hashmi (693 votes) both won their bids for seats on the Westborough Board of Selectmen, and Mary Ellen Johnson beat Rebecca Lewis for a one-year seat with the Trustees of the Public Library.
On Tuesday, March 7, 1,107 voters out of 12,254 turned out for the vote, marking 11 percent turnout.

George Barrette (incumbent) - 523 votes
Syed Hashmi - 693 votes (W)

Trustees of the Public Library (1 year Term) – Vote for 1
