4 Women Injured in Pike Crash

Vehicle leaves road and enters tree line, police report.

Four women suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on the Mass Pike in Westborough at 1:55 p.m.

The 2004 Nissan Murano was traveling east near mile marker 105 when it left the road to the right and entered the tree line, said State Police spokesman Trooper Sean Lewis.

The driver, a 72-year-old woman from Forty Fort, Penn., and her three female passengers, two ages 69 and 71 from Pennsylvania and a third age 43 from New York, were transported to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Lewis said.

The women's names are not being released at this time, Lewis said.

Police are still investigating the crash under the direction of Trooper Edward McMahon of the Weston barracks.
