Open House at Hillside Lower School (grades K-3): Cocoa & Coffee

Local residents of all ages from communities across the central MA and MetroWest&nbsp;region are invited to come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy. We will focus on how to live Dr. King’s dream today through dialogue that promotes belonging for all.RSVP at tinyurl.com/MLK2026WB
 This year’s theme is “From Dreams to Dialogue: Creating a Community Where all Belong” and will feature facilitated conversation for teens and adults, led by Dr. Kalise Wornum. Children are invited to a special interactive program taking place at the same time, developed by Westborough’s Pre-K-8th grade Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator, Tara Gestrich, and students from Westborough High School’s Black Student Union. 
The event is one of only a few MLK Day celebrations being held in the central MA and MetroWest region and will feature a community potluck dinner. Attendees are invited to bring a special dish to share. Members of the WHS Fine Arts Strings Quartet will welcome attendees into the event and the evening will conclude with a special performance by Learning First Charter School's STOMP Team. 
Live language interpretation will be available with pre-registration by January 7th.

Libbey-Wile Forest

Many of us can identify common trees by their leaves, but what about when the leaves fall off for the winter? Join the Westborough Community Land Trust to learn what other clues we can look for to tell our native trees apart. We'll look for clues like the tree’s shape, the color and texture of the bark, and the appearance of the buds that are forming for next spring. A walk in the wintry woods becomes more interesting when you can recognize the trees you see around you! Our walk leader will be Kyle Grendell, Westborough’s Tree Warden.&nbsp;<a href="https://null" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">About 1-2 miles on uneven woodland terrain. Traction devices attached to boots are highly recommended.&nbsp;</a><a href="https://null" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a>The walk is free, open to the public, no reservation needed.&nbsp;The location will be the Libbey-Wile Forest.
