Cat Abandoned In A McDonald's Parking Lot In Westborough

Police are looking for more information after a man found a cat abandoned in a cat carrier in a Westborough McDonald's parking lot.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Police are thanking Westborough man Ross Fitch who was driving through a McDonald's parking lot when he discovered a cat carrier and decided to call 9-1-1.

Police say Fitch pulled over to examine the carrier and found a cat was inside before phoning authorities Sunday night.

Westborough Police took to Facebook, thanking Fitch for doing the right thing.

"See something, say something. Ross may have saved the cat from being run over and killed. Great work, Ross," the Department wrote.

Anyone with information on the cat is asked to call 508-366-3060, as police continue to investigate.
