1. Learn about the Sandals and Beaches Resorts.

Travel Solutions in Westborough presents a "Sandals and Beaches Caribbean Night" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Tatnuck Bookseller event room. Admission is free.

2. A Westborough restaurant's waiter is up for an award.

Mario McFadden of Not Your Average Joe's has been nominated for "Wait Staff of the Year" in the Massachusetts Restaurant Association's annual Stars of the Industry Awards, according to a press release. The awards gala is at 6 p.m. Monday, at Lombardo's in Randolph.

3. A Westborough business will be at an expo on Thursday.
 
Efile will display its OfficeScope product at the Small Business Expo in Boston, according to a press release.

4. Root for the Rangers.

Here is Thursday's Westborough High School sports schedule:

  • JV boys soccer: vs. St. John's, at Gibbons Middle School, 3:30 p.m.
  • Varsity boys soccer: vs. St. John's, 3:30 p.m.
  • Freshman boys soccer: at St. John's, 3:30 p.m.
5. In case you missed it: a Westborough Kindergartener who has cancer received a surprise.

Tuesday, Cops for Kids With Cancer Chairman Robert Faherty presented Hastings Elementary School Kindergartener Ndubuissi "ND" Iweka and his mother, Helen Parker, with a $5,000 check to help the Westborough family.
