Local Artists Wanted To Create 'Diversity Sign' For Westborough
Westborough officials want to create a new sign for the town, and are looking for residents' participation.

WESTBOROUGH, MAβThe town is looking for residents to design a town sign that "promotes the diversity and inclusion that makes our community such a great place to live."
Think you can do it? This artwork will be made into yard signs, banners and other forms to display in homes, businesses, municipal buildings and schools in Westborough. The contest is open to any resident of Westborough, in two categories, age 0 to 20 years old and age 21 years and over.
- Artwork must be original and not generated from print artist or other forms of stock art.
- Signs should promote a positive tone for the community and portray the rich culture and diversity of the current community as well as the history of Westborough
- All chosen artwork becomes the property of the Town of Westborough and can be used by the town for any similar promotions
- The winners will be chosen by a vote of Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, March 17, after members of the townβs Diversity and Inclusion Committee have narrowed the field.
- Art can be submitted on paper to the Board of Selectmanβs Office any time or sent electronically to
- diversitycommittee@town.westborough.ma.us
- Parameters for electronic submission: Adobe Illustrator or Photo Shop can be used. Do not use Microsoft Publisher. All artwork produced must be saved as Vector Art in 1600 dpi with any of the following file extensions, .PDF, .AI, .PSD, .jpeg (LARGE)
- All submissions should include name, address, age, telephone number and e-mail address
- Deadline for submissions will be noon on Wednesday, March 7, 2018
- Decision of the Committee and members of Town Meeting are final.
- Recognition will be awarded to the winners in each category at a Selectmanβs meeting in April.
