Man Allegedly Steals Car, Goes To Court, Then Steals Motorcycle

Christopher Durham had been arrested less than a week ago regarding a stolen vehicle from a commuter rail parking lot. He faces more.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—A man Westborough police have been looking for in connection with a stolen motorcycle was located on Wednesday morning.

Police investigated a report of a man walking on South Street in the downtown area; he appeared to be disheveled and may have needed assistance, said callers.

Officers recognized the man as Christopher Durham, who had recently been charged with stealing a vehicle from the commuter rail parking lot after lying on the floor of a Stop & Shop.

On this day, officers wanted to talk to Durham about a recently stolen motorcycle. It had been reported stolen on Tuesday afternoon, a short time after Durham's release from Westborough District Court on similar charges.

The motorcycle was reported stolen at around 2:15 P.M. from a parking spot in front of St. Luke’s Church located at 70 West Main St. When officers inquired about the motorcycle, Durham provided a specific address in Worcester where the motorcycle was located.

During the officers’ conversation with Durham, he attempted to flee, said police. He was quickly apprehended and placed into custody. Worcester Police Department (Official) was contacted and recovered the motorcycle from the address provided by Durham. Mr. Durham was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle (subsequent offense), disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
