New Path Coming To Westborough For Students Who Walk, Bike, Roll
MassDOT awarded $13 million to projects under the Safe Routes to School Infrastructure program this week.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough students will soon have a safer route to school thanks in part to a Safe Routes to School Infrastructure grant from MassDOT.
The town and Westborough Public Schools applied for the MassDOT grant to build a multi-use path along Fisher Street for students traveling to Sarah Gibbons Middle School and Armstrong Elementary. The path will be for walking, biking, rolling and other non-motorized uses.
The state grant was part of $13 million distributed this week funding eight similar projects across the state. The grants fund design and construction of projects near schools to protect students from drivers.
