Pike Service Plaza To Be Closed For Gas For Weeks

The service plaza in Westborough will be closed for gas, but you can still get snacks.

WESTBOROUGH, MAβ€”For those who drive the Pike in Westborough, be advised that for a few weeks, you won't be able to fuel up.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that its vendor is installing new fuel tanks at the service plaza that is used by travelers on I-90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike) westbound in Westborough.

As a result of fuel tank removal and new tank installations, motorists will be unable to refuel with gasoline or diesel at this location for approximately four weeks. The next fueling opportunity on I-90 westbound is approximately eith miles away, said the release.

Signage is in place to notify drivers of this impact, including, roadside messages on I-90 westbound in Framingham indicating, β€œNo Fuel 38 Miles.”
