WESTBOROUGH, MA — Avoid downtown Westborough this afternoon because another inattentive driver has gotten stuck under the rail bridge.

A tractor trailer driver got stuck Thursday afternoon, reducing Route 30 near Willow Street to just one lane, according to the fire department.

The nearly 12'6" MBTA rail bridge frequently claims over-height vehicles whose drivers don't heed the big yellow and red sign on the bridge warning of its low height. Standard tractor trailers are about 13-1/2 feet tall — in other words, almost a foot too tall to fit under the span.
