
WESTBOROUGH -- Dorothy Isabelle (Anderson) Breen of Westborough, formerly of South Burlington, Vt., passed away on Oct. 19, 2013.
Born in North Adams to Arthur and Bertha (Barker) Anderson, she married her elementary school sweetheart, the late Thomas F. Breen Sr., and raised their three sons in South Burlington.
She retired from the billing department at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center of the University of Vermont School of Medicine, and subsequently served as a docent at the Shelburne Museum.
She is survived by her sons Thomas F. Breen Jr., M.D. and his wife Susan Yeomans Breen, M.D. of Shrewsbury; Timothy J. Breen of Lebanon, N.J.; and W. Terence Breen and his wife Kelley Shea of Dover. She was the beloved Mimi to six grandchildren - Lauren, Ryan, Tyler, Caroline, Jennifer and Elizabeth Breen - who adored spending time with her at her well-tended Laurel Hill Drive home, and with her dachshunds Sam and Sam Again.
She was pre-deceased by her four sisters, Jeanne Anderson, Claire Fitzpatrick, Ruth Beaudin and Phyllis Perreault.
She also leaves her brother-in-law, Donald Perreault of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; her sister-in-law, Rena Breen of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ready Funeral Home, Shelburne Road, Burlington, Vt., with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Home.
