Westborough Woman Stole Wedding Gifts, Police Say

The woman and a companion allegedly crashed a wedding on May 21 and made off with gifts and gift cards.

A Westborough woman and a companion charged with stealing more than $250 in gifts from a wedding reception they crashed are due back in court June 28. 

Jenna Dasaro, 31, of 45 Lackey St., Westborough, was arraigned Wednesday, June 1 in Clinton District Court on charges of larceny from a building, larceny over $250 and conspiracy. 

She was arrested in connection with the theft of a box of gifts May 21 intended for a newlywed couple at their wedding reception at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston, according to police reports.

Police said she and a companion, Summer N. Igoe of Grafton, were observed on video surveillance at the club stealing two boxes of gifts at the reception. 

Igoe, 32, of 309 Providence Road. #2R, Grafton, was arraigned today in Clinton District Court on charges of larceny from a building, larceny over $250 and conspiracy.

The two women, both wearing black dresses, entered the property at separate times but worked jointly to pull off the scheme, police said. 

The gift boxes they stole contained more than $250 in cash and checks, police said. 

A similar incident happened May 29 at Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, State Police learned.  Two days later, Igoe agreed to be interviewed by State Police and allowed her home to be searched. 

She then gave a full confession, police said. Several items related to the crime were found during the search of her home, police said. 

Following Igoe’s arraignment today, she was released on $2,5000 bail and ordered to remain free of alcohol and drugs, report to probation three times a week and stay away from her alleged victims. 

Dasaro was released on personal recognizance following her arraignment. She was ordered to remain free of drugs and alcohol.
