Addiction happens in any family - know the signs & resources that help

Addiction Resources

The WERC Preparedness Month focus this week is on Addiction Resources. While it’s hard to “prepare” for addiction of friends or family, we can be ready to deal with them when we do detect them. The first step is to become familiar enough with the idea of addiction to destigmatize it in our own minds, and to realize that it can grip anyone and comes in many different forms. Check out Alcoholics Anonymous [https://www.aa.org/], American Addiction Centers [https://americanaddictioncenters.org/], Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration [https://www.samhsa.gov/], and facilities like the newly-opened Charles River Recovery center [https://www.charlesriverrecovery.com] in Weston. Know the signs and know the options.
