Representative Alice Peisch hosted the State Champion Weston High School Boys lacrosse and tennis teams at the State House on Wednesday, June 22nd. The teams toured the State House with Representative Peisch, including an in-depth tour and discussion in the Chamber of the House of Representatives. During lunch, the teams were given citations from Representative Peisch for winning their respective State Championship titles. After lunch, the teams joined Representative Peisch for a walking tour of the State House that included visits to the Governor’s Office, the Senate Chamber, and the Great Hall of Flags.
“The Weston Boys lacrosse and tennis teams had spectacular success this spring,” said Representative Peisch, “and I congratulate the players, managers, and coaching staffs, especially lacrosse head coach Jim Wilcon and tennis head coach George Conlin on their victories. Additionally, I would like to congratulate outgoing Weston Athletic Director Chris Aufiero on a great year for Weston athletics, and I wish him luck with his future endeavors.”
