At 5 p.m., police pulled over a car being driven by Binder Mendez on Scotch Pine Road. They arrested Mendez, 19, of Nicholas Street, Lynn, and charged him with unlicensed operation, a seatbelt violation and a defective brake light.

At 6:35 p.m., police pulled over a car being driven by Walter Chaves on Boston Post Road by School Street. They arrested Chaves, 31, of 222 Pearl St., Apt. 1, Somerville, on a warrant from Somerville Police.
