Golden Ball Tavern Museum

The Golden Ball Tavern Museum is open for our annual Holiday Extravaganza - "Trimming the Tavern "Here's to the Red, White and Blue". From December 8th to December 13th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and Family Friendly - visit the beautifully decorated rooms created with the theme of the 250th anniversary of the Revolution...by a team of community partners. DON"T MISS THIS! Our museum offers visitors a different perspective on the American Revolution. Our museum, housed in a historic Pre-Revolutionary home and tavern in Weston, Massachusetts, tells the other side of the story – that of the Loyalists during the War of Independence. Notably, the Museum is among only a handful of institutions in the country dedicated to bringing to life the Loyalist experience. We also tell the story of six generations of the same family living in the same house for almost 200 years! Join us to learn more about colonial life and beyond. Our last open house history tours of the museum for 2025 will be on Thursday, December 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and family friendly! Editor's note: This article was last updated at 3:01 p.m. Girls' and boys' basketball was scheduled to play Concord-Carlisle today, but according to the Weston school system, all games have been postponed until tomorrow, Jan. 19, due to snow and difficult driving conditions. Meetings tonight for the Planning Board and Conservation Commission have also been canceled.  In addition, all after school activities have been canceled. Coaches will be touch with players about individual team practices.  According to the town of Weston, all recreation afternoon and evening classes have been canceled as well. All levels of basketball were scheduled to play and all games are postponed.  The new schedule is as follows: <ul> <li>Girls' freshmen team, 4 p.m., at Field School.</li> <li>Girls' junior varsity, 4 p.m., at Weston High School.</li> <li>Girls' varsity, 5:30 p.m., at Weston High School.</li> <li>Boys' freshmen, 4 p.m., at Concord-Carlisle High School</li> <li>Boys' junior varsity, 4 p.m., at Concord-Carlisle High School</li> <li>Boys' varsity, 5:30 p.m., at Concord-Carlisle High School</li> </ul> Boys' and girls' swim team against Medfield is also postponed to tomorrow, at the same time.
