
The Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane will be held on June 9 in Weston to benefit a special needs therapy program, according to a press release.
The half-mile portion of the event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Weston Town green while the 5K portion will start at 12 p.m. Over 400 participants are expected to attend. Registration tables will open at 10 a.m. Food, face painting and other children’s activities will also be available at the run.
The event’s proceeds will assist the Lovelane program, which has special needs individuals participate in therapeutic horse riding programs, according to the release. The program is based in Lincoln and is tailored toward people with cognitive, physical and social needs.
