Child Left In Cab After Ride Home From Logan Airport: Police

After getting home from the airport, a Weston family quickly realized they accidentally left their child in the back of a minivan taxi.

WESTON, MA — Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a child was accidentally left in the back of a cab after a ride home from Boston's Logan Airport.

Police say a minivan taxi dropped a family off at a home in Weston around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

According to CBS Boston, each parent thought the other had taken the child out of the taxi, but quickly realized the child was still in the back of the minivan and called the police.

Troopers say they were able to find the driver in Mattapan, who had no idea the child was still asleep in the third-row seat of the minivan.

The age of the child was not revealed.

The taxi driver was issued a hackney violation for failing to inspect inside the van properly at the conclusion of the ride.
