Dam Work Has Begun on MWRA Reservoir
The work on the dam will center around tree removal and increased flood protection.

Work has already begun on the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) dam at the Weston Reservoir, in an effort to prevent any future heavy flooding.
MWRA spokeswoman Ria Convery said that work began last week, mostly on tree cutting and removal around the dam.
"For safety reasons, public access is restricted over the dam, but public parking areas and all other trails remain open," she said in an email to Weston Patch.
