Funds For Family Of Former Student Shot To Death: GoFundMe

A young woman shot to death in Boston last week was a student in this Weston classroom. A teacher has created a GoFundMe account.

WESTON, MA—Twenty-four-year-old Alicia Restrepo became the 47th homicide in Boston last week when when she was shot several time while sitting in her car in Dorchester.

Restrepo, of Boston, does not appear to be the intended target of the shooting, and police are still looking for a suspect, reports MassLive.

Patrick Foley, Restrepo's former teacher at City on a Hill Public Charter School in Weston, is raising funds for Restrepo's brother and mother.

"I chaperoned her school trip to Washington D.C. and told her how proud of her I was that she was going to college," wrote Foley. "Teachers love their students and I hope we can raise some money for her brother Nick and Alicia's mom in this terrible time."
