Town Hall Announces Summer Hours

The Board of Selectmen agreed Monday night to modify Town Hall's hours for the summer.

Town employees will continue to work the same number of hours but will work modified hours, said Town Manager Donna VanderClock.

Summer hours have been in place for the last couple of summers and allow for employees to be able to shut off the lights and air conditioning earlier on Friday afternoons, a time when hardly anyone comes in for town business, she said.

And the hours have worked out well since they've been in place.

"We’ve never had a complaint about this," said VanderClock.

The new hours, which will be in effect from June 27 to Sept. 2, will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
