Voter Turnout Low, But Steady in Weston
A Weston voting warden said he's been pleasantly surprised by the turnout so far.
A slow, but steady stream of voters has passed through the doors of Weston's Westgate Church today to vote in the special state primary.
Warden Bill Rousseau said the early mornings and late afternoons are generally the busiest times at the polls, with a line of people typically at the door when polls open at 7 a.m.
For the April 30 special state primary, however, Rousseau said only two people were waiting when the doors opened, but he's been pleasantly surprised by the response since then.

At about 10:15 a.m., precinct 3 had seen 53 voters and precinct four had seen 92, for a total of 145 voters at the Westgate Church voting location. It isn't an overwhelming number, but it's more than Rousseau expected.
"It's encouraging," Rouseeau said. "People are more interested than I thought. I was prepared to be disappointed, but I'm not."
