Weston Commemorates 9-11 With Field Of Flags
Thousands of flags are placed on the field to signify the lives lost.

WESTON, MA—To commemorate the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, Weston places flags across the Town Green.
Approximately 3,000 flags will be placed, signifying one flag for each life lost that day, said the announcement. Town residents and any member of the public are invited to join to help with this special event.
If you wish to help, meet at the Town Green on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m. After a brief ceremony and instructions from Town staff, the bell will sound at First Parish Church to signify the first moment of the attacks and thus the moment that we will begin placing the flags.
