Weston MCAS Scores for Spring 2011 Released

The state recently released MCAS numbers and Weston's numbers have either held steady or improved, for the most part.

The state recently released MCAS results from spring 2011 and the results for Weston look to be good.

In most subjects, scores either went up or stayed mostly steady. The percentage of tenth graders rated as "advanced," for example, went from 48 percent in 2010 to 62 percent in 2011.

State officials consider students scoring in the Advanced (A) or Proficient (P) categories to meet the standards, while those in Needs Improvement (NI) or Warning/Fail (W/F) fall short.
