Weston Resident Diane E. Kaneb Honored with Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award
Kaneb receives honor.

The New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (NEAHP) on March 14 honored Weston resident Diane E. Kaneb with the 2011 Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award. The NEAHP Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award was founded in 1978 to recognize an extraordinary philanthropist in New England who has made significant contributions to a New England health care organization. The ceremony took place at the Newport Marriott in Newport, RI. Kaneb has supported the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary for the past 25 years. She was a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors for 23 years, including serving as Chairman of the Board from 2006 through 2009, and as Chair of the largest fundraising campaign in the hospital’s history. She is a currently a Trustee. Kaneb, along with her husband, Al, have enjoyed a lifetime of community service, supporting many hospitals and social service agencies throughout their lives.
