What's Going on With Police Station Project?
Several steps will soon be taken for the proposed new police station.

What’s the next step for the proposed new police station?
In the wake of Town Meeting voters recently approving $1.2 million in for design of the project, Weston Police Chief Steven Shaw told Weston Patch the next step is to send the project out to bid to an architectural firm. The firm, he said, could take six months or more to draw up design plans. After the plans are received, the town’s Permanent Building Committee would review them, Shaw said. Shaw said the committee wants to make sure the plans make the most efficient use of the space. In total, the building would have 12,687 square feet of usable space.
The proposal calls for the aging station to be replaced by a new building at the same time.
