Your Weston Back-to-School Guide

School starts tomorrow. Are you ready?

School starts this week for Weston students: Wednesday for kids in grades 2 to 12; Thursday for first graders; and Friday for kindergartners.

You still have a little time left to prepare, if you're not sure what you need, or need to do.

  • The schools have published back-to-school informational guides for all grades. You'll find letters from the principals, important phone numbers, policies and more. They're all available as PDFs.
  • The schools (and the town) are moving to a called MyGrapevine. Head over to the site to sign up, as the schools won't be automatically transferring you.
  • Need bus routes? They're available as a PDF at right, and at the schools' website.
  • There is no school on Monday, Sept. 5, Labor Day.
  • High school fall athletes and their parents can meet new Athletic Director Mike McGrath on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. at the high school.
  • New to the schools? Know the essentials, like who to call if your child will be absent or late to school.
  • What's for lunch? You can get menus on the schools' website, or check out the PDFs to the right. That link also has information about lunch balances and how to apply for free or reduced lunches.
  • How to get involved: Join the PTO's Facebook group, check out their website, sign up with the Boosters and learn more about METCO.
