Selectmen Approve Over $1 Million in Expenses

The Westwood Board of Selectmen approved $ in expenses at a recent selectmen's meeting. 

According to the new town charter, any town expenditures in excess of $100,000 must be approved by the Board of Selectmen.  

At its Aug. 26 meeting, the Board of Selectmen approved the following expenditures:

  • Edgewood Road drainage project, $172,752.85
  • Chrome Books purchase for schools, $288,583.24
  • Changing room project at the high school, $149,500 ($125,000 approved by town meeting, and remaining $24,500 will come out of the operating maintenance budget)
  • YCN Transportation, two contracts subject to purchasing requirements, $377,779 and $111,900
