Thursday, September 20 Lost/Found (1:54 p.m.) - A Middle School teacher found a backpack in the woods. It was very weathered and mildewed, so it had clearly been there for a long time. There was nothing in the backpack. Attempted Break-In (2:29 p.m.) - The garage of a Whitney Ave. home was pried open. The perpetrator was unable to gain access to the home and didn't get away with stealing anything. It is believed that the attempted burglar may have been scared off by the barking dog.
