WEYMOUTH, MA — The identity second victim in a fatal shooting that took place Sunday morning is now known. Vera Adams, 77, was killed by Emanuel Lopes as he was fleeing police following the murder of Officer Michael Chesna, according to court documents. Following the alleged shooting of Chesna, Lopes made his way towards Torrey Street, where he allegedly walked onto the driveway of a home and shot three rounds. One of the bullets struck Adams in the chest.
