Police Log: Abington Men Arrested on Drug Charges

The following excerpts are from the Weymouth police log from Wednesday, June 4. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, June 4

At 1 p.m., Michael W. Chiavaroli, 41 of Weymouth, was arrested at Jackson Square Tavern on a default warrant.

At 1:21 p.m. police were called to CVS Pharmacy on Washington Street for a shoplifting call. Tanya Cooke, 38 of Weymouth, was arrested for a default warrant.

At 7:44 p.m. police made a motor vehicle stop on Front Street and Broad Street. Charles B. McIntyre, 47 of Abington, was arrested for possession of a Class B drug and conspiracy to violate the drug law. David M. Newell, 24 of Abington, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, conspiracy to violate the drug law, drug violation near a school/park.
