The bombing at the Boston Marathon in April has had a direct affect on many in Massachusetts, including Weymouth. The students and staff at William Seach Primary School are hosting a Help-A-Thon to benefit the Mery Daniel Foundation on Wednesday, June 5. Mery Daniel is the daughter of Harry Volmar, a bus driver for the school. She was wounded and lost her leg at the finish line of the marathon. The Seach community will be walking a mile at 10 a.m. on June 5 to show support for the Daniel family. Funds are also currently being collected. The top fundraiser from each class will present Volmar with a check around 10:30 a.m. Anyone interested in attending the Help-A-Thon walk and reception, can contact Liz Murray at 781-335-7589 or elizabeth.murray@weymouthschools.org.
